Let me see if I can take this car apart.

Showing off my new Diego pjs.

Mommy won't let me play with her computer so I get my own.

What? Can't I get any peace around here?

I can climb stairs!

Handsome!

No more pictures mommy, please!!!!

Baby Boy!

Hi Mommy.

Cutie Pie.

I brought my little man home!!! I have honestly forgotten what life was like before him. All I know is that life is wonderful with Zachary and we are SO blessed!

This has been a very challenging week. Zachary had a stomach bug earlier in the week and we also found out yesterday that his ear infection apparently just never went away. We didn't get much sleep at all Monday thru Thursday. Every two hours or so we was up...just miserable. I still managed to go to work everyday and miraculously felt good and was very productive. Thursday night when I picked him up from daycare, he had 101.8 fever. I knew that I was going to be home with him for the weekend. We have stayed in the house all weekend. I have gotten a lot done and he has gotten a lot of rest. We are going to stay in all day tomorrow too so that he can get another good nap in. He went to bed at 8:15 tonight and hopefully will sleep until 7 or 8 in the morning.

Update on Zachary's pediatrician. We went to see him yesterday and I was not at all satisfied with what he told me of the way that he wanted to resolve this. So long story short, I took him to another doctor. She came highly recommended and we LOVE her!!! She is very detailed and concerned. This is exactly what I have been looking for! She gave him a different antibiotic and something for his cough. She said that this should "fix him right up". ;-))

The new job is great!! I am really loving it. The people are awesome too.

Here are some pictures from today. Zachary growing like crazy!! He is walking all over the place.

3 Months Ago Today

Kisses for mommy

It's so hard to believe that it has only been three months since my little sweetheart and I arrived in Charlotte. These last three months have been wonderful. We are like two peas in a pod. ;-)) It is such a joy to be Zachary's mommy. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Zachary is walking now. He can take about 10 steps before he falls. He is SO proud of himself. When he falls down, he just smiles and claps. He'll get right back up and tries again. I know that any day now, he is just going to take off running. ;-)

We have been staying really busy. Daycare is going fine. Zachary has adjusted and decided that he wants to be hooked at the hip during the day with one of his teachers....Ms. Sue. She spoils him and just loves on his constantly. She is going to start babysitting him for me on Tuesday nights when I have to go out of town for business meetings. This will be a relief to finally have something in place so I don't have to always worry about finding a babysitter. This past Tuesday night, Zachary stayed with my friend Connie and her husband and two boys while I went to my meeting. He had a BLAST!! Her two boys just adore him. They told me that he was belly laughing all night. When I went to pick him up, Connie had been rocking him and he was just as content with her as he could be. He has adjusted so well and is so friendly. We are truly blessed.

So here are some pictures of the little man. Enjoy!

Quick Update

We have been busy and I have been slack about posting. Things are going well...just staying on the go. Z-man is keeping me on my toes. It's hard to believe but he turned 14 months old yesterday!! Over the last couple of days, he has taken up to 10 steps by himself. He's getting the whole balance thing down. Next I guess he'll start running across the room. Wow...I'll really be in trouble then. ;-))

He is such a precious child and he just loves his mommy! He is going through a clingy phase right now. He is teething and when that happens he latches on to me. Of course, I don't mind at all. That gives me more opportunities to kiss those little cheeks.

Zachary and I are both dealing with stuffy noses right now. It's especially bad at night. I know exactly where he picked it up from. You got it! Daycare. Oh well...what can you do. Right now, I don't have a choice but to take him there. If my side business continues to grow, I'll be home with him in a few years. Nothing would thrill me more!

I started my new job today. Things are great there. I definitely made a good move. We have the greatest office manager! He has a lot of personality and he's very professional...and also has a sense of humor. This is a welcome change from the one that I was used to on my last job. I really miss my co-workers from the last job...and some of my attorneys....but I know I'm in the right place at the right time now. ;-))

Well, I'm going to go for now. I promise to write more very soon and post some pictures. I am in the middle of a great book so I'm going to wind down and read some before I go to sleep.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Hugs!

They're so cute I just had to post another one. ;-))

Zachary with his cousins, Christopher and Elizabeth

Well, let's start with the good news....ok GREAT news!! Today my good friend Bethany got PINK!!! YIPPPEEEEE YAHOOOOOOOO!!! We are so excited for Bethany, Fred and the boys!!!!!! This has been a long road for them and now they can finally see the end of the rainbow. Praise God!!!

My German sister is STILL waiting on her little prince to arrive. She was due on July 3. Yesterday she told me that they would probably induce her either today or tomorrow. Kerstin, if you are reading this, I want you to know that we are thinking about you and praying for you. We love you and can't wait to see pictures of your little angel. ;-))

The other good news is that I got a new job. I was approached by another law firm and interviewed last week. On Tuesday I went back in to meet with the attorneys and they offerred me the job. They already had the offer letter ready. They gave me the salary I asked for ;-)) and they have GREAT benefits and a great profit sharing plan. I already knew I was blessed but now I have been blessed even more. This is an answer to my prayer. It came along at the perfect time.

We have been so busy lately. Things are good except Zachary has an earache and as a result hasn't been feeling too great. He is also teething like crazy...with drool everywhere. ;-)) Bless his heart. Even when he's sick he's still a good baby! He wasn't feeling well weekend before last either and thank goodness at Bethany was here to help us out. ;-))

Last Saturday we went down to the SC / Georgia border to a birthday party for Christopher, our cousin, who turned 1 year old. We had such a good time. He had so much fun playing with his counsins and all of the other children that were there. The party was nice and they had things decorated so cute. The theme was a Luau so everyone wore their Hawaiian clothes. ;-))

On Tuesday night, my dad and his wife came to visit us. They babysat Zachary while I went to a business meeting. I came in and Zachary was on his papa's lap...just as happy and content as he could be. They have a very special bond...and I am so thankful for that. They spent the night and spent the 4th with us. We had a really good time and grilled out yesterday afternoon. We had a lot of fun and hope that they will come back real soon!!!

Hope you are all doing well. I have to catch up on all of the blogs. I have been out of touch for the last week or two. I did read that Evvy has an earache and we hope she is feeling MUCH MUCH better!!!

Hugs to you all.
Rebecca and Zachary
