"I may dress up like a pirate for Halloween!"
Little gypsy!
Oh, I know I have been really slack. I promise that I'm going to do better. Things have been nutz for the last month but we are really well now. ;-)) Thanks for all of the prayers during our trying time with Zachary's ear infections. I am really praying that this isn't going to be a continuous thing.
I want to start out by reflecting on the fact that today, September 26, would have been my grandmama's 97th birthday. It will be 3 years that she has been gone on December 4. I really, really miss her and think of her and my granddaddy almost every day. They were a very special part of my life and now they live in my heart forever. I SO wish they were here to see Zachary but I know that where they are they are looking down on us constantly and can see him very well.
My new job is awesome! It's hard to believe that I've been there for 2 1/2 months. I feel very blessed to have landed this job! I work with a bunch of great, christian people. It also helps that I was friends with 2 of the attorneys and my admin before I moved over there. We had worked together at a previous law firm.
Zachary is doing great at his new daycare! He is learning lots..and is starting to talk more. Every morning when I leave him, he blows lots of kisses to me and even waves bye bye sometimes. He is also starting to run. Nana suggested a while back that we get him some stride rite shoes for support so we did. It has made a big different in his walking. He is very steady on his feet now.
We have been grocery shopping a lot lately because I have turned in to a coupon queen!! I joined a local forum for mommies and I have learned so much from these girls and also made some new friends. Harris Teeter (which is a grocery store chain) had triple coupons last week. We left out of there several times doing a happy dance! We got $550 worth of stuff for a whopping $240!!! We are SO stocked up on everything now. We could not go to the grocery store for 2 months or so and still be fine (except for Zachary's milk). Ok, so we're going through the grocery store and Zachary's new thing right now is blowing kisses and giving "high fives". He blows kisses to all of the girls and gives the guys high fives! He is a trip and quite the little charmer. Everywhere we go we have people stopping us commenting on how handsome he is. Of course, he just smiles from ear to ear.
Let's see what else...well Zachary is doing all kinds of things. He is now brushing his teeth! He has always loved for me to brush them but now his independence has really come out! He gets so excited at the sight of a toothbrush! ;-)) He is also dancing a lot...which is so adorable to watch! He just loves music. He also likes dancing with mommy...which of course, warms my heart. Zachary also watches his Sesame Street ABC video a lot. He has actually started saying some of his ABCs....maybe not always exactly in order but he's saying them!
We have had a lot of fun lately too!! We have been to a carnival, the fair and Carowinds over the last month. We rode some rides and Zachary had a blast. We went with some friends to the carnival and the fair so he rode with some other children. He really loves being around older children. They always pay so much attention to him...not that he's lacking for that at home. ;-)) I got some great pictures from our outtings that I've posted!
Enjoy! I promise to post more soon!!! Hope everyone is doing well.
HUGS!!!

Asking for prayers.....
I haven't written in a while because things have been so busy. Unfortunately we have both been very sick on and off for the last month. Zachary has had a severe ear infection and we had been through the ringer. He has been to the Pediatric ER twice now for very high fevers. It has been a very difficult month due to this. I would ask that you all pray and continue to pray for us. I need strength to handle all of this. It is very challenging being a single mom as it is but when you add all of this sickness it is very difficult. I have to continue to work and Zachary has to go to daycare. That's just the way it is. Well, at least until I win the lottery. ;-)) We do have a wonderful pediatrician and we are very thankful for that. She saw me about to fall apart today and was able to give me some very comforting words and advice. I also got a little more insight from her as to how ear infections come about and what causes them and so on. That was also very helpful. The next step is for him to see the ENT doctor. We need to evaluate whether we want to have tubes put in. There are also some alternative medicines that I am considering trying.
I have lots to share with everyone but right now I just have to go to bed. I'm not sleeping well or much these days. I will post again soon.
Hugs...

REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11
I sent this email out at work today and wanted to also post it on here:
I haven't seen any special emails going around about this but I can't let this day go by without sending a message to encourage each of you to take a moment of silence today in remembrance of all that lost their lives during the attacks on 9/11, 6 years ago today. I remember the day like it was yesterday....where I was...what I was doing....who I was talking to...and how scared I felt inside. I believe that our country has come a long way since then. Let's join together and thank God for all of his blessings and for helping us come to terms and gain peace with the tragedies that were dealt with on this day, 6 years ago, that changed our country forever and caused us to ban together as one.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET ALL OF THE INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES AND ALL OF THE EMERGENCY WORKERS AND VOLUNTEERS THAT LOST THEIR LIVES TRYING TO HELP OTHERS!!
GOD BLESS THE USA!!
