since we last posted! Time flies when you are having fun!

What have we been up to over the last month? We went home two weekends in a row to see the family. We had a great time and of course, Zachary thoroughly enjoyed being spoiled by his nana and papas. It gave mommy a much-needed break too!

Zachary is really talking these days. He can repeat anything that I say (which could be dangerous at times). ;-)) He has learned to ask for what he wants....cookies, cereal, juice etc. I have also found out that this little guy is pretty demanding. As soon as we get home from school he starts telling me what he wants. I am trying to avoid sugary cereals which seems to be fine with him. He loves Cheerios, Special K and Kix cereal.

The other night he was taking a bath and he had some balls in the water that he was playing with. He put them on the side of the tub, one by one, and I heard him say "one, two, three, four, five". He was counting!! I couldn't believe he knew all of those numbers in order. He kept going too...up to eight or so. I was impressed! My baby is growing up! ;-(

Last weekend we were on the go. We got up Saturday morning and went to the greenway. We rode the bike about 15 miles. Then we went home for a three hour nap, up again at 4pm and off to the waterpark. Zachary had a blast (and so did mommy)! He loves the water slides. At first he was a little hesitant but it didn't take him long to get addicted. I took some great pictures, which I will post a little later. Sunday after church we went to Monkey Joe's and had a great time. He had to warm up to the slides but once we did them a few times, he discovered that he loved them! It's not easy climbing up those slides with a kid in tow...let me tell ya. ;-)

Happy 4th of July

SO happy we have a long weekend!! It was a nice short week which was awesome!! Zachary is doing great....finally getting over this crazy cough. I just hope it doesn't come back. So there are so many things that I want to do over the weekend. I am going to exercise every day this weekend...hopefully hitting the trails if I can find a babysitter. I also really want to take Zachary to the water park. I got a membership for us and we haven't used it yet. I have to wait until his cough is completely gone. So maybe next weekend we'll check it out. Also, I am getting ready to start tot soccer classes with Zachary. We'll be going on Saturday mornings. Should be a lot of fun for both of us and will give Z some good exposure to sports. Got to start them out young!! We are planning to get together with some friends and watch the fireworks tomorow night. Should be fun!!
